GNSS Attitude Determination for Remote Sensing: On the Bounding of theMultivariate Ambiguity Objective Function
Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS)-based attitude determination is a viable alternative for traditional methods such as gyroscopes. Precise attitude determination using multiple GNSS antennas mounted on a remote sensing platform relies on successful resolution of the integer carrier phase ambiguities. The Multivariate Constrained (MC-) LAMBDA method has been developed for the multivaria...
متن کاملAttitude determination with low-cost GPS/ INS
Low-cost GNSS receivers with patch antennas track the carrier phases of the GNSS signals with millimeterto centimeter-level accuracy. However, code multipath of several tens of metres, frequent half cycle slips, and receiver clock offsets in the order of milliseconds make reliable kinematic integer ambiguity resolution still challenging. Low-cost inertial sensors are robust against GNSS signal ...
متن کاملGnss Based Attitude Determination Systems for Nanosatellites
Attitude determination systems based on global navigation satellite systems (GNSSs) present several advantages, most of all, for very small satellites. GNSS receivers have low power consumption, limited mass, small volume, and are relatively inexpensive. However, if the attitude information is extracted from the relative position between two or more GNSS antennas placed on the nanosatellite, du...
متن کاملMultiplatform Instantaneous GNSS Ambiguity Resolution for Triple- and Quadruple-Antenna Configurations with Constraints
Traditionally the relative positioning and attitude determination problem are treated as independent. In this contribution we will investigate the possibilities of using multiantenna (i.e., triple and quadruple) data, not only for attitude determination but also for relative positioning. The methods developed are rigorous and have the additional advantage that they improve ambiguity resolution ...
متن کاملCalibration of Magnetometers with GNSS Receivers and Magnetometer-Aided GNSS Ambiguity Fixing
Magnetometers provide compass information, and are widely used for navigation, orientation and alignment of objects. As magnetometers are affected by sensor biases and eventually by systematic distortions of the Earth magnetic field, a calibration is needed. In this paper, a method for calibration of magnetometers with three Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receivers is presented. We p...
